They're not interested in those of us who quilt for the joy. The 'quilt' that is on my blog is actually mounted on a hollow-core door! My husband calls it a Dang Big Piece, actually not quilted. Her name is Holly Shelter Voodoo Woman, and is fully equipped with herbal remedies from the HS Swamp.

I'm off to clean up the debris under the gardenias, thanks, kkarenchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01048742344633169800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109568730073058759.post-74680635463225583012011-04-05T22:57:32.248-04:002011-04-05T22:57:32.248-04:00Karen--

So's my mom, who at age 85 discovered a passion for piecing tops that she mails from Virginia to a ladies' church group in Houston, where they're finished and given away. Tim and I appliqued and quilted an apple-themed one years ago. We made up the rules as we went along, so our binding was non-regulation. That, and the fact that we were placed in the group-quilt category instead of first quilt at the show we participated in, cost us. But I appreciate all the time that went into the lovely finished pieces in your web album.
Thanks for signing up to follow GFTGU. It's always a treat to have evidence of an audience!
Warm regards, KathyKathy Fitzgeraldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16145577877807197103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109568730073058759.post-89681878483259630262011-04-05T21:05:02.395-04:002011-04-05T21:05:02.395-04:00Thanks, Kathy, for the comment about those *&^...Thanks, Kathy, for the comment about those *&^% white flies on gardenias. I've been growing gardenias in the area for more than 25 years, and have NEVER had white flies until last summer. I vacuumed them. Yep, with the shop vac. Took a while, the bushes are pretty big. But, the blackened leaves made me feel blue. Thanks for your 'fix' recipe. Happy rain, karenkarenchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01048742344633169800noreply@blogger.com
